Scrolls for HA.
People can buy scrolls to enter the deep, have one to enter HA too. Or just don't bother with having to unlock it. Have it automatically unlocked.
I don't really see the point of having to unlock it. Thoughts?

By making people RA and TA atleast they have SOME PvP experience although TA and RA a lot different then HA, but its something.

dont really see the idea behind having to unlock it... scrolls... meh i dont really think they will work that well, considering the state of pugs and peoples determination.
just keep it open to whoever, whenever. cause having to go TA to unlock a completely, in no way similar pvp format doesnt really make sense to me.

The statement and situation can be reversed and be just as plausible (not very in my opinion). They can get PVP experience from HA.

If people are so new to pvp that they can't piece together a few wins in RA/TA, then HA probably isn't the place for them. I guess it could be annoying for an experienced player who buys a second account, but if a person is at that level, unlocking HA should be an easy task.

I think it's five wins of TA. Overly active place I must say. Some don't even know HA exists. I don't think that it should auto mean they are too bad for HA. More groups the merrier, bad or good.

If you can't win in RA or TA then why would you even want to try HA?

Well for example some PVE friend I had, wanted to try HA and I was going to help him but he couldn't win TA too easily. Personally I find TA boring the few times I've done it. Also, HA is not like TA. Not only that but if you're so worried about more 'noobs' being in HA, then why not just invite people who are ranked? I don't want a rank argument (again) but the one thing it will show is some experience.
Perhaps you can put a valid argument as to why it should be kept as it is and what is wrong with more 'noobs' to HA.
HA is a good place to learn HA. I don't think that TA is a good place to learn HA myself. There isn't the different objectives, there isn't as many people to watch, and the skill bars you run are different (generally). Sure you will gain some experience, but it's just better to HA.
Furthermore, some PVE'rs simply do not know HA exists. If you do not know something exist, it is hard to look for it. It's like there being a gold mine in the field next to my house. If I do not know there is a gold mine, what makes you think I will go digging up the soil?
It would not cause much harm to my groups if one million new players entered HA right this very second. I would still play with friends, I would still generally play with ranked people.
How would it effect you if newbies entered HA?

Why not? It's RA and TA not RA or TA (unless you win more than 10 in RA and go on further to win TA matches).

I understand what you are aiming for but for the most part it would be rarely used and surely not desirable, imagine getting a passage scroll to hero's ascent from a HA victory chest XD

Well obviously there would be no point in such a thing as getting it in a HoH drop. Also, you could have it such that once you bought the passage scroll to HA, HA would always be unlocked.

This is maybe so but can you please explain why making HA more obvious that it even exists to new or PVE players (that could theoretically get good at PVP) is a bad thing?

No no no don't get me wrong I think an influx of new players with new outlooks will improve things.
Personally I like the idea but am not sure if it would catch on enough to be effective.

Buying scrolls is pointless, just get rid of the unlocks thing.
Just allow everyone to enter every PvP arena regardless of how new they are. Done.

So, a new player gets to HA.
= Starting FOTM group, r9 show rank
And I think we all know how the story goes from then on....
For new players, the only way they'll ever know about HA is if guildies or friends take them there (TA included). Because PUG (truly unranked, new players) aren't exactly the greatest fun in GW, no matter how much some would like to downgrade the importance of rank vs. FOTM builds.

TheOneMephisto: Yeah, I thought of this but there actually is a point of an unlocking scroll. When they click merchant, they will see it and think 'hey, what's this place'. It could in theory turn out to be pointless.

It won't effect the ranked groups though.
